STIR FRY MINCED PORK WITH THAI BASIL
STIR FRY MINCED PORK WITH THAI BASIL
One of the most common dishes at Thai restaurants, this is one easy to make dish that gets along famously with a bowl of steaming hot rice! This is a really cheap dish to prepare, and I'm sure u will have more than enough Thai basil left over, and if it's really fresh, just stick it in a pot of gardening soil and you'll never have to buy them again! They grow very easily, almost like weeds! Well, enough of talking and let's get to cooking!
Ingredients
200g minced pork
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon light soy sauce
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon sugar
2pcs chili padi, finely chopped
A handful of Thai basil leaves
Method
Marinade the minced pork with all the sauces and sugar. I prefer to do it this way instead of the conventional way as it let's the pork soak up all the flavours
In a hot pan, add some oil and sauteed the garlic and chili padi till aromatic
Now add the marinaded minced pork and stir till it's properly cooked
Add the basil leaves and let it cook for about 20secs and it's done!
This is one really simple but tasty dish and is something I'll do when my basil plant is due for trimming. Can't wait for the next roundπππ
Enjoy, everyone, and stay safe!
