Pad Thai..... One of my fav Thai dishes! Since I can't go to Thailand, I bring Thailand to me!😜😜😜 This is one of my favourite thai street food! The recipe is below. Makes one portion.... You can exponentially increase the ingredients for more......
Ingredients
45g Thai flat rice noodles
3 teaspoons soy sauce
3 teaspoons fish sauce
3 teaspoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons tamarind paste
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon minced shallots
3 teaspoons chilli powder
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 egg
Some prawns
Some firm bean curd, cut to pieces
Some chives
Some bean sprouts
Some crushed peanuts
Some oil
Method
Put all the sauces, tamarind paste, lime juice,sugar and water in a bowl and mix till the sugar dissolves
Soak rice noodles till soft
Mix the sauce with the soft rice noodles. This way there's less chances of the rice noodles breaking while cooking due to over stirring
In a hot wok with oil cook the bean curd pieces till golden brown and remove
Put the shallots, garlic, prawns and chilli powder
When the prawns are cooked, add the rice noodles and cook for about a minute
Open up a space in the wok and add the egg. Let it cook for about 30secs before covering the egg with the rice noodles
Add the bean curd, bean sprouts and chives and cook for about 30secs and it's ready to be played
Add crushed peanuts on the top and it's ready to serve
